A proposal by Maxime Le Godec: MILU_skimmed
"MILU_skimmed" is a visual and filmic installation accompanied by a cycle of public readings.
Maxime Le Godec is working on writing a novel that explores the possible encounters between animals and humans, through the story of a Chinese deer whose species came close to extinction and which fascinates a secret society. Within it, one finds: semi-aquatic deer, hallucinations, colonialism, mad diplomats, bathtubs full of ice, antlers carved at the bottom of a cave, fantastic tales, curses in the belly, an explorer-priest, empires and frost clouds, a touch of communism, many truths and many lies…
"Milu is the name of the mangrove: its woods are branches, its hooves in the water. One eye below, one eye above."
