K. Desbouis (1993) is a French artist living in Lisboa, Portugal.

His practice unfolds through the implementation of situations, the production of images and the reconfiguration of existing elements. She explores the dysfunctional relations to entertainment, as well as modes of production and representation of power and forms of attachment. His work is based in particular on the deconstruction of cinematographic conventions and on editorial practices. Since 2021, he has been publishing Suckcess, a series of collective artist books in the form of a magazine that explores the ever-changing conditions for success, identity as performance, social class systems and positions of negativity.

His work has notably appeared at Timeshare (Los Angeles), the Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon), the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Futura (Prague), CAPC (Bordeaux), Gaudel de Stampa (Paris), ECAL (Lausanne), Toxi Space (Zurich), Bains-Douches (Alençon), Mae West (Lausanne), Crèvecoeur (Paris, Marseille), or at the Against Interpretation Club (Club Raum, Amsterdam). He also recently worked at ECAL (Lausanne) and in Maumaus (Lisbon).

His work is present in the collections of Lafayette Anticipations (Paris), FRAC Île de France, and Los Angeles Contemporary Archives (Los Angeles).
