In connection with the exhibition matter gone wild by Josèfa Ntjam and curated by Mawena Yehouessi, the Fondation Pernod Ricard presented on Friday January 12 in its associated program a performance produced by Douce Dibondo and Audrey Couppé de Kermadec.

Together, they declare: "Through ablution, we summon water and ritual. Mirroring a double history between Africa and the Caribbean, we cleanse the morbid fantasies of coloniality, we scrub the imperialist stain, we purify our physical and subtle bodies. Through ablution and anointing, we repair ourselves with the memory and power of water, this element carrying the sung messages of the ancestors."
