Book Launch: "Le titre à l’oeuvre" by Elsa Werth

Elsa Werth, a young artist whose work entered the Centre Pompidou collections in 2023, presents an artist’s book based on a series of workshops she led, exploring the titles of works in the Centre Pompidou collections.

Organised in collaboration with the Massy media library, the Cimade association and through street interviews, these workshops invited participants to reinterpret the titles of selected artworks, without knowing what the works themselves looked like.

Presented in a layout that is both understated and effective, a succession of offbeat, poetic and humorous interpretations unfolds, ultimately giving shape to an entirely different collection.
