Launch of the book Manuel de gestes performatifs. Avec Ulla von Brandenburg (Cneai édition)
At the same time practical, reflective and artistic, le Manuel de gestes performatifs. Avec Ulla von Brandenburg proposes to walk through a repertoire of gestures born from the work of Ulla von Brandenburg and the practice of her troupe of performers, Friede auf Erden. Produced between 2025 and 2026, this manual is the result of a survey conducted by Camille Florance with the artist and three of his creative companions, the performers Benoît Résillot, Duncan Evennou and Giuseppe Molino. Performative practice is approached through its relationship to bodies, textile material, spaces and objects, as so many partners in play. The book is completed with philosophical contributions by professors Barbara Formis and Jacinto Teias Lageira.
On the agenda, a round table with:
- Ulla von Brandenburg (multidisciplinary visual artist)
- Camille Florance (author, researcher in aesthetic philosophy)
- Barbara Formis (guest author, professor of aesthetic philosophy)
- Jacinto Lageira (guest author, professor of aesthetic philosophy)
- Benoît Résillot (choreographer)
The round table will be moderated by the author, Camille Florance, in a dialogue with artists and philosophers, in order to return on the materials and the process of the making of the book as well as its contemporary issues.
