Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann

Artist

Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann lives and works in Paris (FR). She is represented by the Allen Gallery in Paris, Ellen de Bruijne in Amsterdam, and Emanuela Campoli in Paris/Milan.

Winner of the AWARE Prize in 2017, she participated in the residency program at the Pavillon at the Palais de Tokyo in 2011-2012, at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto (JP) in 2016, and at the Secession in Vienna (AUT) in 2022. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy and holder of a master's degree from the University of Paris 8, Vincennes-St Denis, she is currently a doctoral student at the Beaux-Arts de Paris with the École Normale Supérieure within the SACRe program.   

Her artistic approach is based on the development of a project-based method, where process and practice are intrinsically linked. Her research is part of an intersectional feminist perspective that combines psychology and built environments, focusing on forms of emancipation and empowerment as well as structures of conditioning and alienation. Badaut Haussmann works with sculpture, installation, image, text, video, and sound, with exhibitions as her primary medium, in a systematically contextual and situated approach.

Alongside her practice, she taught at Paris Diderot University/Bétonsalon in 2014, then at Parsons Paris – The New School from 2017 to 2022. She is a founding member of *DUUU Radio.
