Shuo Hao (郝 铄) was born in China. After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Beijing, she spent a few months at the Sorbonne before joining the illustration workshop at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin, in Strasbourg. Always between two countries - and on a plane - she is in charge, with French and Chinese friends, of the micro-edition collective Hors Service. Guide de survie dans la jungle is her first book published in France, and was awarded an "Opera Prima" mention at the prestigious Foire du Livre Jeunesse de Bologne. Since then, she has also explored, with her monsters and hybrid creatures, the territories of photography, gouache painting and contemporary drawing. Shuo Hao is an artist represented by the Derouillon Gallery.
