Event

Fernanda Brenner in conversation with Jean-Pierre Criqui

Friday 6 October 2023 at 6 pm

at the Centre Pompidou

This discussion between Fernanda Brenner, curator of the 24th Fondation Pernod Ricard Prize, and Jean-Pierre Criqui, curator of the contemporary collections department of the Musée National d'Art Moderne, provides an opportunity to discover how the exhibition "Do Believe In Ghosts?" came about.

The genealogy of this project will be discussed up to its current deployment, from the unique axis of research around the figure of the ghost developed by the curator, to the selection of artists currently exhibited at the Fondation Pernod Ricard.

The talk will be held in English.

Since 1999, the Fondation Pernod Ricard has awarded a prize to a young French artist whose artwork is donated to the national collections of the Centre Pompidou.

Each year, the exhibition of the Prize is entrusted either to a curator or to an artist with a forwardlooking vision on the French art scene. In 2023, under the title "Do You Believe In Ghosts?", the 24th Fondation Pernod Ricard Prize will bring together 6 artists invited by curator Fernanda Brenner: Ethan Assouline, Sophie Bonnet-Pourpet, Anne Bourse, Pol Taburet, Eden Tinto Collins, Ana Vaz.
