Launch of the monograph by Katia Kameli

Saturday 4 December 2021 at 4 pm

« This monograph was born out of my desire and need to gather my work, to take some distance and to place it in a larger context. Produced in close collaboration with the art critic and curator Clément Dirié and supported by the graphic design of Yann Rondeau. It is articulated around a « mother root », The Algerian novel, chap.1.2.3 (2016-2019) but develops according to a rhyzomatic and polyphonic organization that welcomes the authors Fabienne Bideaud, Omar Berrada, Clément Dirié and Kaelen Wilson-Goldie . It synthesizes both a part of the research undertaken for several years and outlines the new issues of my future projects. It is the meeting point of issues related to memory, to the construction of history, to the making and distribution of images, and to their resilience over time. »

Katia Kameli

This meeting around the monograph and the launch of its first edition will be an opportunity to talk about its conception and future projects with Clément Dirié, Yann Rondeau and Sophie Kaplan, director of La Criée, center for contemporary art, Rennes.
