Partitions (Performances) Ariane Loze | Aziyadé Baudouin-Talec

Monday 18 November 2019 at 7 pm

Ninth season – Organized by Christian Alandete

Ariane Loze / Ariane Loze exposes herself

With the participation of Yohan Guignard

If all our actions, all our conversations are echoes of those we have already had, if all our words are borrowed, if all our meetings meet our expectations or those of others, what are we?

Aziyadé Baudouin-Talec / Your tears wash your eyes

Eyes wide open, we wonder what we perceive, where do we look, how do we look at things? From where we are, what is readable and what is not. Will the vision change? How will the eyes evolve? Will the iris tarnish? And all around? A dip in the eye.

Biographies

Ariane Loze was born in 1988. She lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.

After studying the staging at RITCS Brussels she participated in a.pass (Advanced Performance and Scenography Studies) in Brussels. She was resident at the HISK (Higher Institute of Fine Arts) in Ghent in 2016-17.

Ariane Loze studies the development of a narration from seemingly unrelated images. In her videos, she plays all the roles: she is in turn actress, director and camera woman. By editing, these images relate two (or more) characters and architecture. Ariane Loze’s videos invite the viewer to take part in the creation of narration thanks to the principles of cinematographic editing: the field / counter-field, the continuity of movement, and the suggestion of a psychological narrative. Ariane Loze’s videos were presented at the Montrouge Paris Salon (May 2018) and the KANAL Center Pompidou Contemporary Art Museum in Brussels (May 2018).

Recent exhibitions include Videoformes Clermont-Ferrand (2015), Traverse Vidéo Toulouse FRAC Midi-Pyrénées (2015), Medienwerkstatt Berlin (2016), S.M.A.K. Etcetera Ghent (2016), Boghossian Foundation Brussels (2016), De Appel « You are such a curator! » Amsterdam (2016), « Kunst om de lijf » Emergent Veurne, New York Anthology Film Archive AXW projection (2017), Watch this space Biennial # 9 Lille-Brussels (2017), « Gemischte Gefühle » Tempelhof Berlin (2017).

Aziyadé Baudouin-Talec was born in 1989 in Paris.

After literary and theatrical studies at La Sorbonne Nouvelle – Censier, Paris 3 and a training of actress, Aziyadé Baudouin-Talec writes (theater, literature, poetry) and stages by creating the Company Apparatus. She gradually moves away from the theater to devote herself to writing and to think of connections between literature, contemporary art and contemporary dance through readings-actions. Her text, Topiques, is published in SPIP in 2016. The same year, she created Les écritures bougées, a structure for the production and distribution of contemporary literature, in which she invites authors, artists, choreographers, directors and musicians to produce action-readings. She participates and directs the publication of the Anthologie des Ecritures moved published by the MIX editions. (Fabien Vallos) published in September 2018. This anthology gathers 42 texts of authors, performers, choreographers and artists written on the occasion of various events that she organizes since 2016.
