Poésie Plate-forme Fabienne Audéoud and Marlène Saldana

Thursday 2 June 2022 at 7 pm

Poésie Plateforme organizes, under the supervision of Jérôme Mauche, singular tête à tête between an artist and a personality from other fields of thought.

The Pernod Ricard Foundation, as part of the « Poetry Platform » cycle, is offering an exceptional encounter between Fabienne Audéoud, visual artist and musician, and Marlène Saldana, actress and director.

These two singular creators cultivate the uncertain, the excessive, the absurd as political weapons. An acute sense of freedom and experimentation brings them together. A passion for interpretation, representations and forms animates them. The language is a place of outbidding, because it is also a test of truth.

Fabienne Audéoud develops a multidisciplinary artistic practice with a critical and cryptic dimension, where musical composition is essential. She integrates painting, performance, writing, video, dance and clothing.

Since 2017, solo exhibitions have been presented with Mécènes du Sud, Sète and Marseille; CAC – La Synagogue de Delme; Island, Brussels; Tonus, Paris; La Salle de bains, Lyon and Karst, Plymouth. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in France and abroad: Galerie Sultana, Paris; Villa Arson, Nice; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Galerie High Art, Paris. She has performed, among others, at the Villa du Parc, Annemasse; Circuit, Lausanne; Crédac, Ivry; Galerie Joseph Tang, Paris …

Her collaborative works with artist John Russell are regularly shown, most recently in the exhibition The Three Mouseketeers. Tout pour rien, with Dan Mitchell, at the CAC – La Synagogue de Delme.

Marlène Saldana is a theater and film performer, she performs and dances. She works with Sophie Perez & Xavier Boussiron, Boris Charmatz, Christophe Honoré, Marcial Di Fonzo Bo, Ashley Chen, and previously with Yves-Noël Genod, Jerôme Bel, Thomas Lebrun, Théo Mercier, Daniel Jeanneteau, Gerard & Kelly, Krystian Lupa, Jeanne Balibar…

She received in 2019 the Best Actress Award from the Syndicat de la Critique de Théâtre et de Danse for her role as Jacques Demy in Christophe Honoré’s play, Les Idoles.

In 2008, she created with Jonathan Drillet the company The United Patriotic Squadrons of Blessed Diana. Since then, they have written some thirty shows together, including recently Showgirl, based on the film by Paul Verhoeven.
