L’œil et la dent [The Eye and the Tooth]
“This project draws on archaic expressions whose uses persist today to explore our relationships with others—what binds us or keeps us apart, the magnetism and beliefs at work in every relationship. The eye and the tooth: two organs imbued with symbolic and superstitious connotations that encapsulate these themes—desire, jealousy, ambition, and rupture, but also contemplation, pleasure, and protection. These lines of tension and connection reveal how we exist in the world—what is revealed or concealed, what is pleasurable or abject. Against this narrative backdrop, the exhibition design functions as a curatorial gesture—understood not as a secondary element but as an environment in its own right. With its labyrinthine nature, the layout and lighting of the space will serve as structuring elements, allowing the exhibition to be experienced as a total installation.”
