Liza Maignan

Liza Maignan (born in 1990) is a curator, independent author and director at Florence Loewy gallery. She graduated with a DNSEP from Institut supérieur des arts de Toulouse, fine art department (2016) and a professional Master degree "L’art contemporain et son exposition" from Sorbonne Université (2019). She is currently preparing a group show at La Salle de Bain (Lyon) and a reading program for Paris Ass Book Fair at Palais de Tokyo (Paris). She has worked for various institutions such as: Le Printemps de Septembre in Toulouse, Palais de Tokyo and Fondation d’entreprise Pernod Ricard in Paris. In 2019, she assists the curator François Piron, with whom she co-edits the exhibition catalog Three Moral Tales (Paraguay Press, 2019).

She carries out various activities in the field of contemporary art, such as curating the exhibition: “L'Almanach des Aléas”, at the Fondation d'entreprise Ricard, Paris (2019) ; “Sleep No More”, co-curated with Fiona Vilmer at Placement Produit, Aubervilliers (2021), writing exhibition texts (Romain Bobichon, Galerie Florence Loewy, Paris ; Antoine Dochniak, L'attrape-couleurs, Lyon ; Carla Adra, La Galerie, Centre d'art contemporain de Noisy-le-Sec), articles or free texts for various publications: La Belle Revue (2022), Écrire avec ou sans : LabBooks (2023), POST it - Réalités (2023), C'est les vacances (Burn-Août & Eugénie Zély edition, 2023). Since 2015, she is involved in several collective and associative projects such as: blvu - artist-run-space, Lyon (2018-2019) ; milo - association of curators, Paris (2019-2020) and she is currently co-president of the association In Extenso in Clermont-Ferrand.
