Writing workshop with Fatma Cheffi
Workshop open to all, free of charge; registration required at: [email protected]
Building on the exhibition The Dream Argument, this workshop invites participants to explore writing as a transitional space, at the intersection of the personal and the collective, of wakefulness and dreams, of the visible and the invisible—the latter referring to that which eludes our perceptions and transcends reality.
Drawing on an immersion in the works of Amie Barouh and Chloé Quenum, and in light of texts by Mohamed Amer Meziane and Louisa Yousfi, participants will be invited to write from this “in-between” space, where visions or ro’ya, images, signs, and fragments emerge. Through a variety of writing exercises, they will attempt to connect these elements with memory, heritage, and imagination, to bring forth shared narratives of resistance.
