CINÉPHÉMÈRE 2018

Une soixantaine de films d’artistes sélectionnée par la commissaire associée Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez est présentée au grand public en accès libre et gratuit. Le Cinéphémèreprésentera une programmation conçue par le LOOP festival le samedi 20 octobre, et par le FILAF (Festival International du Livre d’Art et du Film) le dimanche 21 octobre. Les films sont projetés dans un cinéma portatif de 14 places entièrement équipé à cet effet, installé sur l’Avenue Winston Churchill, entre le Grand Palais et le Petit Palais, piétonnisée pour l’occasion.

« À une époque de violente racialisation dans nos sociétés et de crise écologique profonde, l’exploitation excessive et organisée des ressources naturelles et des biens communs par les gouvernements s’accroit, mais, les initiatives et les résistances civiles et citoyennes se renforcent elles aussi. À une époque où chaque jour, l’idée que « respirer de l’air pur est politique, boire de l’eau pure est politique » devient toujours plus vraie (Black Quantum Futurism collective), nous voyons l’émergence de positions artistiques et de voix critiques manifestant un engagement dans des situations de la vie réelle, de démarches activistes et de recherches sur le terrain, à travers l’hémisphère nord et l’hémisphère sud. Cette programmation de vidéos et de courts-métrages rassemble les travaux d’artistes internationalement salués, issus d’environnements différents et qui ont pour inspiration et références l’écologie genrée, les correspondances entre les sujets consacrés aux questions écologiques et aux questions raciales, à la pollution, à la toxicité et au racisme environnemental. Les films présentent des histoires sur des catastrophes passées, présentes et futures, au travers d’approches et de connaissances provenant des cosmologies des peuples autochtones à travers les continents, l’afrofuturisme, du futurisme arabe, des engagements écoféministes et des combats de justice sociale. »
